It is recommended to use standard charges consisting of at least 4 sizes of grinding media or special charges consisting of 6 sizes of, preferably small, grinding media that is compatible with the material to be ground.

This allows grinding times to be reduced by increasing the grinding surface area and reducing the interspaces. The charge of grinding media must be approximately 50-55% of the volume and the charge of the material to be ground must be approximately 30-40% of the useful volume.

Make sure that the product always covers the grinding media in order to limit the wear on the lining of the grinding media. It is recommended that you carry out tests on the various types of material in order to select the best grinding system.

In order to unload the mill more quickly, it is recommended that you open the vent valve on the side of the mill or on the cylinder opposite the discharge outlet.
